District 9 Branded Residences (Velmonti Palace), Abuja's upcoming landmark ultra-luxury destination, is opening its doors for world-class hospitality talent! We are currently seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead our people operations. In this executive role, you will champion our organizational culture, drive exceptional talent acquisition, and ensure our workforce delivers unparalleled luxury service standards to our esteemed guests and residents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive human resources strategies aligned with the ultra-luxury hospitality brand vision.
- Lead full-lifecycle recruitment, onboarding, and talent management to build a world-class pre-opening and operational team.
- Design and implement competitive compensation, benefits, and employee recognition programs tailored to retain top hospitality professionals.
- Oversee talent development, continuous training initiatives, and performance management systems to maintain uncompromising service excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian labor laws, workplace safety regulations, and internal company policies.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment that reflects the prestige of the Velmonti Palace brand.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, CIPD) are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or directorial role within the luxury hospitality or high-end residential sector.
- Demonstrated success in leading pre-opening HR operations for five-star hotels or branded residences.
- Exceptional knowledge of Nigerian labor legislation and modern HR technology platforms.
