About the Role
District 9 Branded Residences (Velmonti Palace), Abuja's upcoming landmark ultra-luxury destination, is opening its doors for world-class hospitality talent! We are currently seeking an exceptional and visionary Director of Engineering & Facilities to oversee all technical operations, building maintenance, and facility management. In this prestigious executive role, you will ensure that our ultra-luxury infrastructure operates seamlessly, delivering an unmatched standard of excellence and comfort for our esteemed residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and manage all engineering, maintenance, and technical operations across the entire luxury property.
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all building systems, equipment, and amenities.
- Oversee capital improvement projects, vendor management, and contractor relationships while ensuring strict adherence to budget constraints.
- Ensure full compliance with local and international health, safety, environmental, and building codes.
- Lead, mentor, and train a high-performing engineering team to deliver prompt, discreet, and exceptional service.
- Manage energy conservation initiatives and sustainability practices aligned with modern ultra-luxury hospitality standards.
- Maintain rigorous documentation of all maintenance logs, safety inspections, and regulatory compliance certificates.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering and facilities management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within ultra-luxury hotels, branded residences, or high-end real estate developments.
- Demonstrated expertise in building management systems (BMS), HVAC, electrical grids, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and crisis management abilities.
