About the Role

Arrupe Jesuit College (AJC), a distinguished member of the network of schools run by the Society of Jesus, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Digital Technology Teacher to join its academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in Digital Technology, ensuring full compliance with the Nigerian National Policy on Education and AJC’s academic standards. Beyond classroom instruction, the teacher will serve as a positive role model, guiding students to develop practical digital skills relevant to everyday life and future careers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons in Digital Technology according to the school’s scheme of work.
  • Ensure comprehensive coverage of the curriculum in line with national education policies and AJC’s standards.
  • Equip students with practical digital literacy skills applicable to real-world situations.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
  • Maintain a well-organized, engaging, and safe learning environment.
  • Serve as a positive role model, embodying the values and mission of AJC.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall academic experience of students.
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development programs as required.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in ICT or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • A higher degree or additional certification in ICT is an added advantage.
  • Registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of two years teaching experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong command of the English Language.
  • Sound understanding of adolescent psychology and effective classroom management techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint.
