About the Role
Desicon Engineering Limited, a leading indigenous EPC company in Nigeria with over 40 years of industry excellence, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Desktop Administrator/ICT Officer to join our team on-site in Bonny, Rivers State. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our desktop systems and core ICT infrastructure, directly supporting our mission to deliver innovative engineering solutions to the Nigerian energy sector.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, operating systems, peripherals, and enterprise software applications.
- Provide prompt, day-to-day technical support and end-user assistance to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Monitor system performance, implement security patches, manage user access permissions, and maintain robust data backup protocols.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all IT hardware, software assets, and equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with the broader IT team to enforce corporate cybersecurity standards and minimize operational downtime.
- Document standard operating procedures, maintain comprehensive service logs, and communicate technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of proven hands-on experience in desktop administration, IT support, and system maintenance within a corporate environment.
- Strong technical proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems, hardware components, and office productivity tools.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional will be a distinct advantage.
