About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Deputy General Manager, Electrical to join our plant operations in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will plan, organize, monitor, and coordinate the implementation of electrical distribution systems, electrical and instrumentation maintenance, and services to ensure maximum plant availability at optimum cost and reduced power consumption.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day electrical maintenance activities to ensure trouble-free operations from the crusher to the packing plant, including the power plant.
- Implement robust preventive and predictive maintenance strategies while maintaining optimal levels of critical spares.
- Drive energy conservation best practices, monitor power consumption, and coordinate power utilization with grid authorities.
- Ensure compliance with all electrical equipment standards, safety regulations, ISO 9000, and environmental restrictions.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and Why-Why analysis to resolve complex technical issues and optimize equipment reliability.
- Supervise, mentor, and train technical staff, enforcing occupational health and safety procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of twenty-five (25) years of post-qualification experience in heavy industry or manufacturing.
- Expert knowledge of maintenance management methods, CMMS, industrial automation, and SAP (MM/PM modules).
- In-depth understanding of cement manufacturing processes, TPM, and safety legislation.
