About the Role
Proten International is currently recruiting dynamic and results-oriented Deposit Mobilization Officers on behalf of an established microfinance bank in Lagos. This role is crucial for driving deposit growth, acquiring new customers, and expanding the liability portfolio across multiple strategic locations including Ojo, Ikeja, Ikorodu, Oshodi, Sangotedo, Epe, and Lagos Island.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the mobilization of savings, current, and fixed deposits from individual, business, and corporate customers.
- Acquire new customers and actively grow the bank’s deposit portfolio within assigned branch locations.
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly deposit mobilization and liability targets.
- Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with business owners, traders, and commercial depositors.
- Identify and pursue new deposit opportunities through field sales, direct prospecting, networking, and referrals.
- Monitor customer deposit trends, follow up on dormant accounts, and implement effective retention strategies.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on deposit performance and business development activities.
- Minimum of an OND, HND, or B.Sc degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in deposit mobilization or sales within the microfinance banking, commercial banking, or fintech sector.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding monthly liability and deposit targets.
- Possession of an existing customer base or strong access to high-value depositors is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional relationship management, negotiation, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
- Residency in close proximity to the preferred branch location is highly advantageous.
