About the Role
Givanas Cosmetics is a leading research-driven cosmetic manufacturing company in Nigeria, dedicated to delivering innovative, high-quality, and affordable personal care products developed by industry professionals. We are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Demand Planner to join our growing supply chain team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts that directly drive our inventory, procurement, and production decisions. You will serve as a key bridge between Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain, ensuring seamless operational alignment and continuous business growth across our diverse product portfolios.
Key Responsibilities- Own and maintain the rolling forecast as the single source of truth for demand planning, enforcing the two-week change request window before monthly cycles.
- Develop statistical demand forecasts at SKU, category, and aggregate levels, incorporating seasonality, historical sales trends, and market intelligence.
- Lead monthly demand review meetings, reconciling cross-functional inputs from Sales, Marketing, and Finance to secure General Manager sign-off.
- Track forecast accuracy and bias metrics like MAPE, identifying structural causes for stockouts or overproduction to drive continuous improvement.
- Incorporate vital demand drivers, including promotional campaigns, new product developments, and product phase-outs into forecasting models.
- Partner closely with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to translate finalized demand forecasts into actionable inventory and replenishment plans.
- Manage ERP forecast modules and rolling forecast sheets, ensuring optimal data integrity, version control, and timely reporting to management.
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven professional experience in demand planning, forecasting, or Sales and Operations Planning.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning systems and advanced spreadsheet tools with exceptional data analysis capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple shifting priorities.
