About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is currently recruiting a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team in Nigeria. In this role, you will collect, analyse, and interpret business data to support strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive overall business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis within an industrial tools organization, successfully transforming sales, inventory, customer, and operational data into clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, clean, analyse, and interpret complex sales, inventory, and operational data from various business sources.
- Develop comprehensive dashboards and reports to effectively monitor sales performance, stock movement, revenue, and emerging business trends.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other modern analytical tools to generate accurate and actionable business insights.
- Track critical key performance indicators (KPIs) while identifying operational trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Analyse customer purchasing patterns, individual product performance, and overall sales team productivity.
- Support the management team with reliable, data-driven forecasts and strategic recommendations.
- Maintain accurate databases and ensure strict data integrity across all internal reporting systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to actively support overarching business objectives.
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in data analysis or business reporting.
- Demonstrated relevant experience working within an industrial tools organization.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with Power BI experience being highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database management systems is considered a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings to stakeholders effectively.
