About the Role
Adonville School, a reputable private co-educational institution in Baruwa, Ipaja, Lagos State, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable CRS/Government Teacher to join its academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Christian Religious Studies and Government to students, helping to shape their moral values and civic understanding.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in CRS and Government in line with the approved curriculum
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials
- Assess and evaluate students’ academic performance through tests, assignments, and examinations
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and moral development
- Guide students in understanding civic responsibilities, governance, and religious values
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and extracurricular programs
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall academic experience of students
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students’ academic progress
- NCE, HND, B.Ed., B.Sc., or B.A. in a related field
- Prior teaching experience in CRS and/or Government is an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent classroom management abilities
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for teaching
- Must reside within Baruwa, Ipaja, Ayobo, or its environs
