About the Role

Masters Ville Children School, a leading Montessori institution in Isolo, Lagos, is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Creative Arts Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. This role offers a unique opportunity to inspire children aged 3 to 11 years through creative expression, artistic exploration, and hands-on learning experiences that complement our holistic educational approach.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils discover and develop their artistic talents while fostering confidence, imagination, and critical thinking skills essential for early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging creative arts lessons, including drawing, painting, crafts, and design activities suitable for various age groups.
  • Develop innovative teaching materials that encourage self-expression, creativity, and imagination in pupils.
  • Integrate arts education with other subject areas to enhance overall learning experiences.
  • Assess and monitor pupils' creative development, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Organize and coordinate art exhibitions, school events, and creative projects that showcase pupils' work.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized art studio or classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to align creative arts programs with the overall school curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding pupils' progress and participation in creative activities.
  • Continuously update teaching methods to incorporate modern trends and technology in art education.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of NCE (NCE, B.Ed., B.Sc./B.A. with PGDE or equivalent).
  • Relevant teaching experience in a reputable school, preferably in early childhood or creative arts education.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • ICT compliant with the ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction.
  • Strong passion for the arts and a genuine interest in nurturing children's creativity.
  • Patient, energetic, and adaptable teaching style suited to young learners.
  • Willingness to grow, learn, and embrace continuous professional development.
