About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a leading provider of outsourcing, technical staffing, and support services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a meticulous and results-driven Cost Controller to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting technical operations through rigorous cost management, variance analysis, and strategic budget preparation.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare annual corporate and partner budgets in collaboration with technical teams.
- Develop revised financial forecasts based on the latest project work scopes.
- Participate in NUIMS Sub-Committee meetings to defend budgets and secure necessary approvals.
- Prepare month-end closure documentation, including manual accruals and SKFs, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure all financial tasks comply with SOX regulations and internal company standards.
- Generate monthly cost reports with comprehensive variance analysis for technical management.
- Provide reliable monthly data for NUIMS cash calls to guarantee adequate operational funding.
- Process and verify vendor invoices to facilitate timely and accurate payments.
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of technical cost sheets with SAP values to track daily drilling costs.
- Create RFS purchase orders and maintain tracking schedules for effective cost control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven finance and cost control experience, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
