In this role, you will be responsible for creating delightful culinary experiences by preparing wholesome and delicious meals tailored to specific preferences and dietary needs, ensuring top-notch quality and household satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook nutritious breakfast, lunch, and dinner, featuring a diverse range of local Nigerian and intercontinental cuisines.
- Plan weekly and daily meal schedules based on employer preferences, specific dietary restrictions, and nutritional guidelines.
- Maintain a spotless, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment by washing utensils, sanitizing cooking surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Monitor food supplies, manage grocery shopping, restock ingredients, and ensure proper food storage using first-in, first-out inventory practices.
- Keep all kitchen appliances, tools, and utensils clean, well-maintained, and in optimal working condition at all times.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional cooking experience in a reputable household, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- Possession of relevant culinary certifications, vocational training, or a related qualification is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional knowledge of diverse local and intercontinental menu preparation, food safety standards, and hygiene practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, plan menus, and handle kitchen inventory.
