About the Role
DP World is dedicated to making global trade flow better, transforming supply chains for communities and businesses worldwide. We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Controller: Transport Operations to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will oversee daily vehicle fleet operations, ensuring timely and secure haulage services for top-tier clients while driving productivity and maintaining strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Plan efficient routes and oversee daily fleet coordination to meet strict client loading orders (EDD) and delivery targets.
- Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle utilization, and operating costs using platforms like I-Manager and Instanta.
- Track truck movements, enforce speed limits, and manage service mileages to prevent downtime.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip briefings, toolbox meetings, and ensure all delivery officers are fully kitted with PPE.
- Handle prompt documentation of incidents, accidents, insurance claims, and Proof of Delivery (POD) collection.
- Liaise with clients, field officers, and the HSE department to resolve operational issues and ensure security compliance.
- Minimum of a BSc or HND in Sciences or Social Sciences with not less than a Second Class Lower / Lower Credit.
- Professional certifications such as CLTD, CILT, or CSCP are highly preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in transport operations, fleet management, and 3PL supply chain environments.
- Solid knowledge of Nigeria's road network, driver management, and rescue operations.
