About the Role

Monarch Techno Engineering Solutions (MTES) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Control System Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a proven Instrumentation & Control professional looking to contribute technical expertise to high-impact projects within the Oil & Gas, Construction, and Engineering Design sectors.

As a Control System Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and safety of control systems across various project sites. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation systems, ensuring seamless integration with plant operations while adhering to strict industry standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments and control systems in line with project specifications
  • Perform loop checking, testing, and troubleshooting of DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems
  • Interpret and work from P&IDs, I&C drawings, datasheets, and technical specifications
  • Support commissioning and start-up activities for instrumentation and control systems
  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults in control and automation systems promptly
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and best practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, test results, and system modifications
  • Collaborate with project engineers and site teams to support smooth project execution
  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on-site

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electronics, or Control & Automation)
  • 5–12+ years of experience in Instrumentation & Control within Oil & Gas or EPC projects
  • Hands-on experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA systems, field instruments, calibration, and loop checking
  • Strong knowledge of P&IDs, I&C drawings, datasheets, and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
  • ISA/IEC 61511 certification (preferred) or relevant instrumentation certification
  • Valid First Aid & CPR certification
  • H2S Alive certification
  • Permit to Work (PTW) certification
  • Basic Fire Fighting certification (preferred)
