About the Role
Genesis Group, a leading Nigerian-owned Catering, Hospitality & Entertainment conglomerate with interests in Hotels, Restaurants, Cinemas, Shopping Malls, Real Estate Development, and Industrial Catering, is seeking a talented Content Writer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled wordsmith who can produce engaging, SEO-optimized content that strengthens our brand voice across multiple platforms and business units.
As a Content Writer at Genesis Group, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, original content that informs, engages, and converts our target audience. You will work closely with the marketing team to develop content strategies that support our various business units, including Genesis Deluxe Cinemas, Genesis Centre, and our Industrial Catering & Housekeeping Management services.
Key Responsibilities- Write clear, compelling, and grammatically accurate blog posts, articles, and website copy
- Develop engaging social media content tailored to different platforms and audiences
- Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to improve content visibility and search rankings
- Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to create cohesive content campaigns
- Edit and proofread content to ensure consistency in tone, style, and brand voice
- Manage and update content on the company website using WordPress or similar CMS platforms
- Research industry trends and competitor content to generate fresh, relevant topic ideas
- Optimize existing content for improved search engine performance
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and business objectives
- Proven experience writing blogs, social media posts, and website copy
- Strong command of grammar, spelling, and vocabulary
- Familiarity with SEO principles and keyword optimization tools
- Working knowledge of content management systems, particularly WordPress
- Ability to adapt writing style to suit different platforms and target audiences
- Excellent research, organizational, and time-management skills
- A portfolio of published writing samples is an added advantage
- Degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field is preferred
