About the Role
Misters of Nigeria, one of the country's most respected male pageant brands, is looking for a talented and imaginative Content Writer to join its growing team in Lagos. Founded in 2020 by 97th Entertainment, Misters of Nigeria has established itself as a platform dedicated to developing young men into global leaders while celebrating the nation's rich diversity. Recognised as the "Best Male Pageant Brand of the Year" at the 2024 Eko Heritage Awards, the organisation continues to set the standard for excellence in the Nigerian pageantry industry. As Content Writer, you will play a key role in shaping the brand's voice, telling compelling stories, and engaging audiences across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Create engaging, well-researched, and original written content for websites, blogs, social media, and marketing campaigns.
- Develop press releases, event write-ups, and promotional materials that align with the brand's tone and vision.
- Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to plan content calendars and campaign strategies.
- Write compelling contestant profiles, event recaps, and feature stories that highlight the brand's mission and achievements.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in tone and style.
- Conduct research on industry trends, pageantry culture, and audience interests to inform content direction.
- Optimise content for search engines to improve visibility and audience engagement.
- Support the documentation of events, interviews, and behind-the-scenes stories for publication.
- A relevant qualification in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in content writing, copywriting, or journalism, preferably within entertainment, lifestyle, or media industries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of English grammar and style.
- Creative storytelling ability with attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimisation techniques.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
