About the Role
Lagos Executive Cardiovascular Centre (LECC) is a premier multidisciplinary cardiovascular and cardiac rehabilitation facility dedicated to treating heart and vascular diseases through advanced invasive and non-invasive procedures. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Cardiologist to join our expert team of specialists. In this pivotal role, you will provide exceptional patient-centered care, lead clinical initiatives, and contribute to our mission of delivering internationally benchmarked cardiovascular medicine in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management for patients with diverse cardiovascular diseases.
- Perform and accurately interpret relevant cardiac diagnostics, including ECG, echocardiography, stress testing, and Holter monitoring.
- Manage complex heart conditions such as heart failure, hypertension, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and valvular disorders.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cardiothoracic surgeons, ICU physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Offer clinical mentorship and guidance to medical officers, residents, and nursing staff.
- Participate actively in clinical meetings, case reviews, morbidity and mortality audits, and quality improvement programmes.
- Maintain precise clinical documentation and uphold strict patient safety standards and hospital protocols.
- MBBS/MBChB or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
- Valid fellowship in Cardiology or Internal Medicine from a recognized professional body.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in cardiology.
- Proven expertise in advanced cardiovascular diagnostics and evidence-based patient management.
