About the Role

We are currently recruiting a dynamic and results-driven Construction Officer for a prominent grocery retail client in Ibadan. In this role, you will play a critical part in our expansion strategy by ensuring the timely opening of new stores at the lowest possible cost without compromising on quality, strictly adhering to the company's Construction Manual and applying the principle of economy to maintain a competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities- Review and approve construction company offers and invoices for new store developments and ongoing renovations.
- Supervise construction execution to ensure strict compliance with established timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
- Manage cost evaluations for construction parts and materials while resolving quality claims efficiently.
- Advise the Sales and Expansion Managers on optimal store layouts and recommend reliable new construction partners.
- Conduct constant on-site reviews of maintenance activities and proactively report risks or failures with actionable solutions.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Architecture.
- 5+ years of proven work experience as an in-house trained Architect and Project Manager on construction sites, featuring hands-on expertise in project costing and management.
- Deep knowledge of relevant design policies, international specifications, building regulations, and construction details.
- Must be a current resident of Ibadan, Oyo State.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Project.
