About the Role

The Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the implementation and monitoring of Dangote Group's compliance framework, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Working closely with the Head of Legal, Compliance Lead, and Company Secretary, you will identify compliance risks, support policy development, and ensure timely regulatory filings while promoting an effective compliance culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support development and implementation of compliance and corporate governance frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Conduct compliance monitoring across business units to identify gaps, breaches, and regulatory risks
  • Assist in developing corporate policies, compliance manuals, and codes of ethics ensuring clarity and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate implementation of new regulatory requirements and ensure appropriate policies are established organization-wide
  • Maintain statutory filings, regulatory submissions, and compliance records with accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare periodic compliance status reports and policy implementation updates for senior management
  • Conduct research and comparative analysis of corporate governance frameworks to inform compliance strategies
  • Maintain compliance databases and reporting systems to support audit readiness and tracking

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) with Barrister-at-Law (B.L.) qualification and valid practising license in Nigeria
  • Minimum 8 years' post-qualification experience in legal, compliance, or corporate governance roles
  • Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) required
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance frameworks and applicable Nigerian regulatory requirements
  • Practical experience in compliance monitoring, regulatory engagement, and policy implementation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance tracking systems
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical judgment
  • Experience in manufacturing, energy, or multinational environments preferred
