About the Role
Wema Bank Plc is looking for a driven and customer-centric Commercial Relationship Management Officer to join our vibrant sales team on Lagos Island. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our commercial and retail banking portfolios, building long-lasting client relationships, and identifying lucrative market opportunities to maintain our competitive edge in the Nigerian banking sector.
Key Responsibilities- Execute branch commercial sales strategies and local market initiatives to meet and exceed revenue and acquisition targets.
- Drive customer acquisition and deposit mobilization by opening diverse account types for SMEs and retail clients.
- Conduct thorough financial statement analyses, cash flow forecasts, and credit risk evaluations for prospective borrowers.
- Ensure strict adherence to KYC compliance, lending risk policies, and regulatory standards to mitigate fraud and portfolio loss.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly resolving complaints, identifying root causes, and promoting suitable digital banking channels.
- Minimum of a First Degree in any discipline from a recognized institution.
- 3 to 8 years of cognate sales and marketing experience within the banking or financial services industry.
- Professional certification such as CIBN is an added advantage.
