About the Role

A1 Power Technologies Ltd, a proudly Nigerian energy services and solutions provider, is looking for an experienced Commercial Lead to drive business growth and strategic partnerships for its clean energy and Productive Use of Energy (PUE) solutions. This role is central to converting market opportunities into a robust pipeline of commercially viable projects, managing the full commercial lifecycle from opportunity identification through to revenue generation.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and a passion for advancing sustainable energy access across African communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business development and strategic partnership activities for PUE and clean energy solutions.
  • Identify and develop qualified opportunities across MSMEs, agro-processors, farming communities, clusters and productive-use businesses.
  • Develop commercial proposals, customer value propositions, pricing models and appropriate financing/service structures.
  • Coordinate with Technical, Finance, Operations and Compliance teams to convert opportunities into bankable projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, cooperatives, agro-processors, OEMs, energy companies, financial institutions and development partners.
  • Manage customer/site information, commercial documentation and project-development requirements.
  • Coordinate projects from initial opportunity through contracting, deployment, verification and revenue realization.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales and project pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Identify market trends, partnership opportunities and new applications for clean energy across the food system.
  • Track commercial performance, customer satisfaction and project profitability.
  • Provide regular management reports on pipeline, opportunities, partnerships and revenue performance.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Renewable Energy or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development, commercial management, sales or project development.
  • Experience in renewable energy, energy access, digital infrastructure, agriculture, PUE or related sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, proposal development and relationship-building skills.
  • Solid commercial and financial understanding, with the ability to structure viable deals.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage projects from opportunity through implementation.
