About the Role
CashXpress Nigeria Limited bridges the financial gap for individuals by providing fast loans with competitive interest rates and without discrimination. We are currently expanding our dynamic team and looking for a dedicated Collection Specialist to join us in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our portfolio health by managing debt recovery while upholding our commitment to professional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Contact customers through calls, SMS, WhatsApp, and emails regarding due and overdue payments.
- Follow up consistently with customers to secure payment commitments and recover outstanding debts.
- Engage customers professionally and negotiate suitable repayment plans within approved guidelines.
- Review customers’ loan information, payment history, and account records to determine appropriate collection strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, commitments, payments, and account status.
- Handle customer concerns professionally while providing appropriate repayment solutions.
- Meet and consistently work towards assigned collection and recovery targets in a performance-driven environment.
- Escalate unresolved or high-risk accounts appropriately to management.
- BA, BSc, or HND in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or any related field.
- Zero to two years of experience in debt collection, customer service, FinTech, banking, microfinance, or financial services.
- Must have completed the mandatory NYSC program.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Confident and professional telephone manner with the ability to handle challenging conversations calmly.
