About the Role
JOLAS Private School, an esteemed educational institution founded in November 1999, is seeking a professional Cleaner to join our team. We are registered and approved by Lagos State Ministry of Education, a member of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) Lagos Island branch, and the Association for Child Education Practitioners (ACEP) Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across all school facilities including classrooms, offices, corridors, and common areas
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces
- Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse appropriately
- Clean and maintain restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies are stocked
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Report maintenance issues and damages to management promptly
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Work flexibly to accommodate school schedules and special events
- Relevant cleaning experience or certification
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Physical fitness and ability to work independently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
