About the Role

Jamub Group is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our growing team of professionals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects within a dynamic, multi-sector conglomerate operating across Business to Business (B2B), Business to Government (B2G), and Business to Consumer (B2C) markets.

As a Civil Engineer at Jamub Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of civil engineering projects, from initial design through construction supervision. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions that meet regulatory standards and project specifications, while upholding the company's reputation for excellence and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, plan, and supervise civil engineering works including roads, drainage systems, and foundations across various project sites
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with approved designs and safety standards
  • Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other engineering professionals to ensure project milestones are met
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans
  • Ensure all civil works comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Identify potential structural issues and recommend appropriate engineering solutions
  • Prepare cost estimates, material schedules, and project timelines
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and permits
  • Maintain accurate project records and generate progress reports for management

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.Eng. or B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution
  • Valid COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) registration
  • 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in civil engineering, preferably within infrastructure or construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of civil works including road construction, drainage systems, and foundation engineering
  • Proficiency in engineering design software and project management tools
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
