About the Role
Christian Miracle Hospital, an NHIS-accredited maternity and gynaecological facility established in 1992, is recruiting a Skilled Registered Midwife to join our compassionate healthcare team in Enugu. This full-time on-site position offers the opportunity to provide holistic, evidence-based maternity care to expectant mothers and newborns in a faith-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care using evidence-based protocols
- Assist in spontaneous vaginal deliveries and manage normal and complicated births safely
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
- Identify and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies
- Provide lactation guidance and health education to mothers and families
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Offer faith-sensitive emotional and psychological support to patients
- Participate in community maternal health advocacy and clinical training sessions
- Uphold infection prevention, patient safety, and Christian values in all interactions
- Relevant certification or licensure as a Registered Midwife in Nigeria
- Demonstrated expertise in maternity care, childbirth management, and postnatal nursing
- Proficiency in lactation support and maternal/neonatal health knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with compassionate, patient-focused approach
- Prior hospital or maternity care experience required
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends
- Resident in Enugu, Nigeria with commitment to CMH's Christian mission
