About the Role
Strivo Labs is a dynamic provider of end-to-end digital solutions, helping businesses scale rapidly through custom design, MVP development, automation, and robust technology architecture. We are currently seeking a visionary and accomplished Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy, engineering operations, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the organisation's technology strategy, roadmap, and architecture in alignment with overarching business objectives.
- Lead and scale the internal technology division, overseeing engineering, IT operations, product, data, security, and governance.
- Drive the transition from outsourced technology services to high-performing in-house capabilities through structured knowledge transfer.
- Ensure reliable system performance, effective incident management, and continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure and DevOps.
- Establish and enforce rigorous information security policies, access controls, and compliance with Nigerian and West African data protection regulations.
- Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic investments while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline (MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage).
- Minimum of 10 years of technology experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive leadership role such as CTO or VP of Engineering.
- Strong expertise in software architecture, microservices, API design, cloud infrastructure, and hands-on knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and PostgreSQL.
- Proven background in fintech, payments, digital lending, or embedded finance operating within West African markets.
- Demonstrated success in building internal engineering teams and managing successful vendor transitions.
