About the Role
District 9 Branded Residences (Velmonti Palace), Abuja's upcoming landmark ultra-luxury destination, is opening its doors for world-class hospitality talent. We are currently seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Engineer to lead our technical services and facilities maintenance departments. In this premier executive role, you will ensure the seamless operation of all building systems, upholding the highest standards of luxury, safety, and efficiency expected at an elite international hospitality property.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and manage all engineering operations, preventative maintenance programs, and capital projects for the luxury residence and palace.
- Ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire life safety systems.
- Lead, mentor, and schedule the engineering team to provide prompt, discreet, and exceptional service to residents and guests.
- Oversee departmental budgets, vendor contracts, inventory control, and energy conservation initiatives.
- Implement rigorous quality assurance audits and maintain comprehensive maintenance logs and asset management records.
- Collaborate closely with executive management and other departments to deliver an uncompromising ultra-luxury experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within 5-star luxury hotels, branded residences, or high-end real estate developments.
- Relevant professional certifications and licenses in facility management or engineering services.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills with deep knowledge of modern building automation and smart property systems.
