About the Role
Trading and Logistix, a renowned subsidiary of J-Six Group, is recruiting a skilled Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic team in Abraham Adesanya, Lagos. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with proven expertise in the FMCG sector to drive financial excellence and support strategic business decisions. You will play a critical role in maintaining our financial integrity while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor budgets and financial forecasts to assist management in strategic decision-making
- Coordinate financial activities across all subsidiaries and branches
- Compute taxes and ensure timely remittance before all deadlines
- Manage weekly and monthly stock-taking and reconciliation processes
- Examine financial records for accuracy and implement corrective measures
- Oversee cash management and banking activities for operational efficiency
- Handle inventory monitoring and stock reconciliation with precision
- Collect, analyse and prepare weekly and monthly financial estimates
- Prepare, maintain and reconcile ledger accounts and financial statements including balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow statements
- Generate monthly results and implement comprehensive variance reporting
- Produce management reports and monthly P&L documentation
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or related field
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, ICMA, ACA, or ICAN)
- Minimum 4 years experience in hospitality or FMCG sector
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel; i-Class knowledge preferred
- Strong integrity with exceptional confidentiality standards
- Detail-oriented with comprehensive knowledge of GAAP accounting procedures
- Business-savvy mindset with proven financial reporting expertise
- Working knowledge of accounting software systems
