About the Role
Golden Bell's Multi Concepts (GBMC) Limited is a premier hospitality consulting and management firm dedicated to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence. We are currently seeking a reliable, professional, and customer-focused Cashier to join our dynamic Accounts and Finance department at our Peter Odili branch in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. In this role, you will serve as the financial face of our establishment, ensuring accurate transactions, secure cash handling, and providing a welcoming experience for all our esteemed guests and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Handle daily cash, card, and electronic payment transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and provide outstanding front-line customer service.
- Reconcile cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring all collections balance accurately against daily sales reports.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure checkout counter and reception area.
- Collaborate closely with the Accounts and Finance department to report discrepancies, manage petty cash, and prepare daily financial summaries.
- Adhere strictly to company cash-handling policies, safety protocols, and internal financial controls.
- Possess relevant academic qualifications, such as an OND, HND, or B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Cashier, Teller, or in a similar finance support role, preferably within the hospitality or retail sector.
- Strong numerical proficiency with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using POS terminals, accounting software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Must reside in Port Harcourt or be willing to commute reliably to Peter Odili.
