About the Role
Alan & Grant, a premier Human Resources and Business Advisory firm, is seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Cashier to join our client in the manufacturing sector. In this vital role, you will be the face of our financial front-end operations, ensuring seamless payment processing, rigorous daily reconciliations, and absolute financial accuracy. We are looking for an honest professional who takes pride in maintaining meticulous financial records and upholding the highest standards of integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process customer payments for goods purchased via cash, bank transfers, POS terminals, and other approved channels.
- Verify electronic payment confirmations thoroughly before authorizing the release of goods from the warehouse in compliance with company policy.
- Issue accurate receipts and ensure all sales and financial transactions are properly documented in the system.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date daily records of sales, payments received, refunds, and any outstanding balances.
- Perform daily reconciliations of cash collections and digital payments against generated sales reports.
- Prepare and submit timely daily cash and transaction reports to the accountant or supervisor.
- Ensure all collected funds are securely handled, stored, and deposited according to established corporate governance.
- Minimum of an OND in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- 1 to 2 years of proven professional experience working as a cashier, sales representative, or in a similar financial handling role.
- Basic practical knowledge of cash management procedures, payment processing, and end-of-day reconciliation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer operations and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with operating POS terminals and validating mobile or bank transfer confirmations.
- Strong numerical aptitude, exceptional record-keeping abilities, and keen attention to detail.
