About the Role
District 9 Branded Residences (Velmonti Palace), Abuja's upcoming landmark ultra-luxury destination, is opening its doors for world-class hospitality talent! We are currently looking for a dedicated and talented Carpenter to join our elite maintenance and finishing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, installing, and repairing high-end wooden fixtures and architectural elements that meet the exacting standards of our luxury establishment. Key Responsibilities- Construct, install, and repair custom wooden furniture, doors, moldings, cabinetry, and decorative fixtures throughout the luxury residence and hotel property.
- Conduct routine inspections of all wooden structures and architectural elements to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, wood substitutes, and other materials using precision hand and power tools.
- Collaborate closely with the interior design and facilities teams to bring bespoke hospitality design concepts to life.
- Ensure all carpentry work complies with safety regulations and maintains the pristine aesthetic expected of a five-star luxury destination.
- Maintain an organized workshop, managing tools, equipment, and timber inventory efficiently.
- Proven professional experience as a Carpenter, preferably within luxury hospitality, high-end residential, or upscale commercial environments.
- Relevant trade certification, vocational training, or equivalent practical apprenticeship in carpentry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and the safe operation of specialized power tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret complex architectural blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
