About the Role
PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, a leading multinational consumer goods manufacturer of beloved household and personal care brands such as Imperial Leather, Cussons Baby, and Morning Fresh, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Beach Master to join our dynamic operations team. In this pivotal role reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will oversee bulk oil receipt and storage operations, manage inventory documentation, and provide critical support services to the factory while ensuring adherence to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and account for bulk oil shipments into Beach Storage Tanks following Quality Control Laboratory sampling.
- Issue and supply accurate quantities of oil from storage tanks to the Bleaching Section upon request.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all material receipts, manage daily stock sheets, and perform monthly physical inventory reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
- Provide effective leadership, on-the-job training, performance appraisals, and discipline for subordinate staff.
- Collaborate closely with administrative, production, and engineering teams to optimize operational efficiency and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Minimum of an OND, HND, or BSc degree in Social Sciences or Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar inventory management or operations role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet navigation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
