About the Role
Jamub Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Batching Plant Operator to join our growing team of construction professionals. This role is central to ensuring that concrete and asphalt mixes produced at our project sites consistently meet approved specifications, supporting the delivery of high-quality infrastructure across our diverse business operations.
As a Batching Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining the batching plant to guarantee accurate material proportioning, proper calibration and strict quality control. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient plant performance while upholding the highest standards of safety and operational excellence on site.

Key Responsibilities- Operate the batching plant to produce concrete and/or asphalt mixes according to approved mix designs, ensuring accurate proportioning of all materials.
- Calibrate plant equipment on a scheduled basis and conduct regular quality checks on batching output to maintain product consistency.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the batching plant to ensure optimal functionality and minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate plant logs, production records and batching reports for tracking and quality assurance purposes.
- Comply with all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate actively in toolbox talks and safety briefings prior to commencing work.
- Promptly report hazards, near-misses or incidents to the Site Engineer or HSE Officer.
- Collaborate with site engineers and quality control teams to ensure batching output meets project specifications.
- Monitor raw material stock levels and coordinate with relevant departments for timely replenishment.
- Minimum of an OND/Trade Test Certificate in a relevant technical field; additional certifications in batching plant operations are an advantage.
- Proven experience operating batching plants for concrete and/or asphalt production, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of mix designs, material proportioning and quality control processes.
- Good working knowledge of plant calibration procedures and routine maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with HSE standards and safe work practices on construction sites.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and generate clear production reports.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
