District 9 Branded Residences (Velmonti Palace), Abuja's upcoming landmark ultra-luxury destination, is opening its doors for world-class hospitality talent! We are currently seeking a passionate and creative Baker to join our esteemed culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing exceptional breads, pastries, and desserts that meet the highest standards of luxury and taste, ensuring every guest experiences culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and bake a wide variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and artisanal items following established recipes and luxury hospitality standards.
- Ensure consistency, exceptional quality, and beautiful presentation in all baked goods produced for restaurants, cafes, and VIP events.
- Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards across all workstation and equipment areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, coordinating timely orders with the kitchen management.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to develop new seasonal menus and specialty items.
- Operate and maintain all bakery equipment properly, promptly reporting any technical issues to the maintenance department.
- Proven professional experience as a Baker, preferably within a luxury hotel, upscale resort, or fine dining establishment.
- Relevant culinary qualifications, certifications, or formal training in baking and pastry arts.
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient properties, and kitchen safety protocols.
- Strong creative flair with a keen eye for detail and aesthetic presentation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively during early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays.
