About the Role
Mitiget Assurance and Technology Services Limited is a leading provider of IT governance, business risk management, and cybersecurity solutions. We help organizations mitigate risks across internal systems, data, and applications through cost-effective and compliant strategies. We are currently expanding our technology team and seeking a skilled, experienced Back-End Developer to build, deploy, and maintain robust backend systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance backend applications.
- Build and manage RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services where required.
- Design, manage, and optimize databases using MySQL and other relevant database technologies.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Django.
- Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and system vulnerabilities.
- Implement appropriate authentication, authorization, and data protection measures.
- Deploy applications to production environments and provide ongoing maintenance and technical support.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product designers, and other team members to deliver functional solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation, write automated tests, and follow software development best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Django.
- Practical experience with MySQL, including database design, queries, optimization, and management.
- Demonstrable experience developing, deploying, and maintaining live systems in a production environment.
- Good understanding of RESTful API design, integration, and documentation.
- Knowledge of software development principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
