Glitec Advanced School of Technology (GAST) is seeking a skilled Auto Mechanics Technician to join our dynamic training team. This role combines practical automotive repair work with hands-on instructional support, helping to shape the next generation of industry-ready technicians in Nigeria's growing automotive sector.
As an Auto Mechanics Technician at GAST, you will work closely with students and senior technicians to service training and customer vehicles, ensuring every task reflects safe, professional, and industry-standard practices. You will play a key role in bridging classroom theory with real-world application across diagnostics, engine performance, brake systems, and vehicle electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities- Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on both training and customer vehicles
- Maintain workshop tools, lifts, and equipment in line with safety standards
- Support instructors during practical training sessions and live demonstrations
- Document work orders, parts usage, and vehicle condition reports clearly and accurately
- Stay current with modern vehicle systems, diagnostic tools, and manufacturer guidelines
- Guide and mentor students in developing safe, professional, and industry-relevant technical skills
- Ensure all workshop activities comply with health, safety, and quality standards
- Proven experience in automotive repair or a relevant vocational/technical qualification
- Strong diagnostic mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Solid understanding of engine systems, brakes, and vehicle electrical components
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to students
- Commitment to workplace safety, professionalism, and continuous learning
- Ability to work collaboratively with instructors, technicians, and trainees
