Mountain Top University (MTU) is seeking a dynamic, academically distinguished, and morally upright professional to join our esteemed faculty as an Associate Professor in Nutrition and Dietetics. In alignment with our vision to be a dynamic center of academic excellence in the liberal tradition, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our academic programs, fostering innovative research, and mentoring the next generation of nutrition and health professionals in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics through curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and secure research grants.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and theses.
- Engage in departmental, college, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Contribute to community engagement initiatives focused on public health, nutrition education, and societal development.
- Uphold the core moral, ethical, and spiritual values of Mountain Top University within the academic environment.
- Possession of a PhD degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- A strong portfolio of substantial academic publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Demonstrated clear evidence of academic leadership, mentorship, and administrative capacity.
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution, including at least 3 years at the rank of Senior Lecturer or equivalent.
- Current registration with relevant professional bodies in Nigeria is an added advantage.
