Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science by designing, updating, and delivering high-quality undergraduate and graduate curricula.
- Engage in cutting-edge research, secure research grants, and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to faculty development and departmental administration.
- Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committees, as well as university-wide events and community service initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and professional accreditation bodies.
- Must possess a Ph.D. in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Must hold current professional registration with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria).
- Demonstrate a strong track record of substantial academic publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide verifiable evidence of academic leadership, administrative capability, and mentorship.
- Minimum of 9 years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution, with at least 3 years served specifically at the rank of Senior Lecturer or an equivalent position.
