About the Role
Jhpiego, a Johns Hopkins University affiliate, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director, Infrastructure and Biomedical Engineering to provide technical leadership for facility upgrades, biomedical engineering, and asset lifecycle management in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will ensure that all infrastructure and equipment investments are functional, sustainable, and aligned with national healthcare delivery needs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead facility baseline assessments, engineering designs, and prioritize critical infrastructure improvements including WASH, IPC, and waste management systems.
- Supervise contractors and ensure strict compliance with Nigerian environmental, safety, and healthcare facility standards.
- Oversee equipment deployment, specifications, installation, calibration, and anti-duplication asset validation against national registries.
- Establish robust government-owned asset management systems, preventive maintenance schedules, and lifecycle cost tracking.
- Strengthen state and facility-level biomedical engineering capacity by developing sustainable maintenance networks and service provider strategies.
- Advanced degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Infrastructure Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience managing large-scale health infrastructure and biomedical technology programs.
- Proven expertise in facility rehabilitation, medical equipment deployment, quality assurance, and sustainable maintenance systems.
