About the Role
Adonville School, a reputable private co-educational institution in Baruwa, Ipaja, Lagos State, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our academic team. This role is ideal for an individual who is enthusiastic about child development and eager to contribute to a nurturing learning environment spanning Creche, Preschool, and Secondary School levels.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Support students with classroom activities, assignments, and learning materials
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and conducive learning environment
- Monitor and report on students' academic progress and behavior
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help
- Assist in supervising students during breaks, activities, and school events
- Support the implementation of the school's curriculum and educational policies
- Prepare and organize teaching aids, materials, and classroom displays
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience
- SSCE, NCE, OND, HND, B.Ed., B.Sc., or B.A. in Education or a related field
- Prior experience working with children in a school setting is an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for teaching
- Good organizational and classroom management skills
