About the Role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, a prominent leader in the Nigerian manufacturing sector and makers of the trusted Golden Penny brand, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Procurement Manager to join our esteemed team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a vital part in streamlining our supply chain operations, managing vendor relationships, and driving cost-saving initiatives across our extensive manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the adequacy of bid specifications and prepare comprehensive sourcing-related documents.
- Process ERP transactions and monitor contract execution, including terminations, renewals, and amendments.
- Identify and close procurement bypasses to increase organizational spending visibility and compliance.
- Drive continuous cost-saving initiatives to ensure optimal value for all managed spend categories.
- Partner closely with assigned business units to guarantee timely delivery aligned with agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Track and report key procurement metrics to support overall departmental and company objectives.
- Assist the Procurement Manager in building and maintaining strategic, long-term supplier relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels proactively to prevent stockouts and eliminate costly overstocking situations.
- Possession of an HND or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven professional experience in a similar procurement or supply chain role.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a proactive, goal-oriented mindset.
