About the Role
Olam Agri is a market-leading, differentiated food, feed, and fiber agri-business with a global origination footprint, processing capabilities, and deep understanding of market needs built over 33 years. We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, planning, reporting, and controls to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and effective governance while supporting informed strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the project capex tracker, review spending against approved budgets, and provide variance analysis for pre-commissioning projects.
- Ensure compliance with approval limits, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and capitalization policies while partnering with engineering and procurement teams.
- Manage plant accounting activities, lead month-end close, prepare timely MIS reports, and monitor manufacturing costs post-commissioning.
- Lead inventory counts, reconciliations, and variance reviews while analyzing ageing, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.
- Coordinate asset tagging, physical verification, timely capitalization, transfers, and disposals in alignment with company policies.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field.
- Qualified member of ICAN (Chartered Accountant, Nigeria) with 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a Greenfield or Brownfield project environment within manufacturing, FMCG, agribusiness, or industrial operations.
- Hands-on expertise in Capex Monitoring, Asset Capitalization, Plant Accounting, and SAP S/4HANA (FI, CO, MM, Asset Accounting).
