About the Role
Bakan Gizo Pharmacy & Stores is a premier retail mega-pharmacy and departmental supermarket chain operating across Abuja and Nasarawa State, Nigeria. Known as a trusted one-stop retail destination providing 24-hour healthcare and shopping convenience, we are currently looking for a dedicated and vigilant Assistant Chief Security Officer (CSO) to strengthen our safety infrastructure and protect our assets, staff, and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Chief Security Officer in planning, coordinating, and managing daily security operations across multiple retail and departmental store locations.
- Supervise on-site security personnel, manage duty rosters, and monitor staff performance to ensure strict adherence to company security policies.
- Oversee CCTV surveillance operations, access control systems, and facility monitoring to deter unauthorized entry and suspicious activities.
- Investigate security breaches, internal theft, pilferage, fraud, and other incidents, compiling comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.
- Conduct routine security inspections, facility risk assessments, and vulnerability checks to implement proactive loss prevention measures.
- Monitor staff, vendor, and visitor movements, ensuring compliance with organizational protocols and safety regulations.
- Maintain effective liaison with local law enforcement agencies and community security networks to safeguard company interests.
- Support the execution of staff security awareness training programs and participate actively in emergency response planning.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Security Studies, or a related field.
- At least 3 to 5 years of cognate security management experience, preferably within retail, supermarket, or hospitality sectors in Nigeria.
- Proven expertise in CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and general surveillance technology.
- Strong investigation skills with a demonstrated ability to handle loss prevention and asset protection.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and crisis management abilities.
