About the Role
Standhope School, a reputable private co-educational institution located in Ibadan, is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant / Creche Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers, laying the groundwork for their lifelong learning and social development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide attentive, loving care and supervision to infants and toddlers in the creche.
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate developmental activities and lessons.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and record children's developmental milestones, daily routines, feeding, and sleeping habits.
- Partner effectively with parents and guardians to ensure open communication regarding their children's progress and daily needs.
- Assist with feeding, potty training, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety for all children.
- Possession of relevant academic qualifications such as NCE, OND, B.Ed, or relevant certifications in Early Childhood Education or related fields.
- Proven previous experience working in a creche, nursery, or early childhood educational setting.
- Exceptional patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with infants and young children.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to remain calm and resourceful in a fast-paced and dynamic childcare environment.
- Must reside in or be willing to commute to Ibadan.
