About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is looking for a dedicated and skilled Assistant Chief Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team in Kaduna. In this vital role, you will provide senior supervision of laboratory operations, support service leadership, supervise testing procedures, and uphold the highest standards of quality and biosafety in compliance with international best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide senior supervision of laboratory operations, actively supporting the deputy and head in leading the service.
- Supervise laboratory testing and section work to ensure optimal standards, accuracy, and operational throughput.
- Support effective rostering, workload allocation, and strategic skill-mix management.
- Uphold strict biosafety compliance, conduct internal audits, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance.
- Supervise, mentor, support, and appraise junior laboratory staff to foster professional growth.
- Handle incident escalation and manage equipment and vendor liaison efficiently.
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of the required national internship and NYSC, or a valid exemption.
- Minimum of 8 years of post-registration experience in medical laboratory science, including experience at Principal grade or equivalent.
- Strong working knowledge of laboratory quality management, biosafety, and specimen-handling standards.
- Specialty training or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
