About the Role
Auldon Limited, renowned as Nigeria’s premier toy store, is dedicated to making children happy through quality, affordable toys and world-class service. We are currently looking for a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our growing finance team on a full-time, on-site basis in Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our retail operations while working in a vibrant, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily accounting operations including posting transactions, ledger maintenance, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform timely bank reconciliations and assist in the preparation of accurate financial reports.
- Ensure meticulous documentation of sales and inventory data through regular coordination with store operations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, budget tracking, and internal compliance checks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service and retail teams to align financial records with actual business activities.
- BSc, HND, or relevant academic background in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in an accounting or finance support role, preferably within retail, FMCG, or a fast-paced setting.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and modern POS platforms.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic tax regulations, internal controls, and bookkeeping principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ongoing professional certifications (such as ICAN or ACCA) will be considered a distinct advantage.
