About the Role
Baker Hughes, a global leader in energy technology, is looking for a skilled Assembly Repair Maintenance Overhaul (ARMO) Technician to join our dynamic Wireline Services team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will ensure the flawless operation, safety, and reliability of our mechanical equipment, driving operational excellence and delivering top-tier service to our oil and gas clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble semi-complex mechanical components using engineering drawings and bills of materials.
- Perform functional and operational testing on assemblies according to strict engineering and customer requirements.
- Operate test equipment in compliance with established engineering standards and safety procedures.
- Apply settings, calibrate, and maintain assembly tools and equipment.
- Perform precise torquing of mechanical components according to technical specifications.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and assemblies efficiently.
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment within the facility.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all assembly, testing, and repair activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and productivity.
- Ensure strict compliance with all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies.
- Associate Degree, Technical Diploma, or equivalent mechanical qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on mechanical assembly, maintenance, repair, or overhaul experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, machines, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring and inspection instruments.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment.
