About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, transforming lives by designing, distributing, and financing modern solar and device solutions for underserved communities across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Area Phone Business Manager to join our growing team in Sapele, Delta State. In this role, you will champion our PayGo phone business strategy by recruiting, training, and managing a robust network of commission-based agents, driving both sales growth and portfolio quality in a fast-paced device financing market.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, onboard, and train agents from the open market, ensuring prompt certification and continuous coaching through regular table meetings and field sessions.
- Drive monthly sales unit targets and maximize average agent productivity while coordinating effective field marketing activations.
- Maintain excellent portfolio and collection standards, overseeing customer onboarding quality, addressing defaulting accounts, and minimizing repossessions.
- Conduct regular field visits, ride-alongs, and performance reviews to ensure high agent engagement, retention, and recognition of top performers.
- Manage inventory levels accurately through strict variance tolerances, routine audits, and timely reporting while upholding zero tolerance for unethical practices.
- Hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
- Possess at least 2 years of hands-on field sales experience, ideally within PayGo, device financing, telecommunications, or agent-network environments.
- Demonstrate deep local market knowledge of urban and rural trade routes within the Sapele territory.
- Exhibit strong digital literacy, including familiarity with CRM tools, data dashboards, and inventory management systems.
- Possess exceptional communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills with a willingness to travel extensively.
