About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, designing, distributing, and financing solar home solutions for over 82 million customers across more than 40 countries. We are currently looking for a driven and well-organized professional to join our Risk department as an Area Collections Executive in Nigeria. In this field-intensive role, you will optimize regional portfolios, drive repayment strategies, and work closely with sales teams to ensure excellent customer service and financial recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Assess regional portfolios and repayment trends to establish daily, weekly, and monthly collection strategies for delinquent accounts.
- Conduct mystery market visits to evaluate sales quality, gather field insights, and prevent product tampering.
- Collaborate with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives to manage product repossessions when direct intervention is required.
- Train Field Sales Executives on handling difficult collections, repossession protocols, and customer communication.
- Recruit cash collection centers and establish critical collection areas within the assigned territory.
- Provide weekly intervention reports and customer feedback to the Sales and Risk Management teams.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management, or related fields.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in credit collections, debt recovery, or field operations within microfinance, fintech, or banking.
- Demonstrated experience working with rural customers and managing field settlements.
- Exceptional communication, people management, and issue-resolution skills.
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional sales and risk teams.
- Deep familiarity and working knowledge of the local territory will be a strong added advantage.
