About the Role
FairMoney is a leading digital financial platform in Nigeria that provides instant loans and banking services to millions of users through our advanced Android application. We are currently looking for a talented Android Engineer to join our dynamic Technology Division, working alongside talented engineers based in Lagos and distributed globally. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and test new native Android features across the entire software development life cycle.
- Maintain rigorous code quality standards and ensure optimal performance of our customer-facing Android application.
- Participate in pair programming, code reviews, and test-driven development to foster engineering excellence.
- Mentor junior developers, share technical knowledge, and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to deliver seamless user experiences.
- 4+ years of professional experience in native Android development using Kotlin and Java.
- 2+ years of experience with pair programming, test-driven development (TDD), and code reviews.
- Strong expertise in writing Unit Tests, Instrumented Tests, and End-to-End Tests.
- Solid understanding of Clean Architecture, multi-module applications, Jetpack Compose, and Coroutines or RxJava.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Strong soft skills including a proactive get-it-done attitude, autonomous problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication.
